A special edition of Discover India - Doing Business in India program is being offered to university students at the mega annual international Women Economic Forum 2018, almost free of cost locally, from 26 April to 1 May 2018, in New Delhi, India.

The Women Economic Forum is a global conference of the ALL Ladies League or ALL, which is creating enabling ecosystems through women's leadership for ALL to express, engage and excel economically in one's chosen interests.

The Guest of Honor at the Inaugural of the Annual WEF 2018 is the most distinguished and legendary Nobel Peace Laureate 2015, Mrs. Ouided Bouchamaoui.

A six-day event, with 1000+ participants, the annual WEF 2018 has over 500+ sessions in an interactive format in a wide variety of areas on the theme "The Economics of Goodness: Empowering Potential, Engineering Change." It is attended by senior leaders from industry, government, thought leaders, educationists, celebrities, and inspiring women entrepreneurs from ALL walks of life.

This enriched opportunity will greatly help students get connected to the many entrepreneurial opportunities in India that is the fastest growing economy in the world with a great openness of culture. It will also provide a global networking platform to the students to stay ahead of the curve in fast changing disruptive environment where networks can make all the difference. It will additionally give students precious presentation and speaking opportunities in front of a global entrepreneurial audience, along with recognition as young leaders.

Journal and Credits: Students are urged to keep a detailed journal of session learnings and speaker interviews and discuss with professors about gaining credits for them.

Total Costs:  

WEF Conference Fee Waiver: The participating students group will get a waiver of the conference fee at the WEF.

Hotel Costs @WEF: The students have to take care of their own hotel costs at the WEF. Dinners may or may not be included in the WEF week. Please see the updates on the program closer to the event.

One Week Optional Additional Module of Discover India on-campus: After the intensive WEF week, there yet another option of an additional week at our college campus in Delhi for the regular program.

Cost @ Campus: It is free inclusive of boarding and lodging, & contact classes and visits as per program.

To Summarize: Except for your personal stay costs (and sometimes dinner costs) that you will incur during the WEF conference only, this special edition is otherwise completely free of cost. To elaborate, the conference fee of 500 USD at WEF will be entirely waived off for all participants of the Discover India, inclusive of lunch, tea and snacks during the conference, and participation at all sessions during the conference from 9am to 6pm.  For the additional/optional week's immersion module, even the stay on campus will be taken care of by the local host campus NIILM, inclusive of all meals on campus. Industry visits and local trips as per program will also be taken care of by the host campus.

Students and faculty will only need to only take care of their own travel, visa, insurance, personal expenses, additional meals, and travel; and stay/dinner during WEF.

The Gates Millennium Scholars also have been part of the WEF ever since the first edition. We’ve also been joined by senior leaders and faculty from East Michigan University, US; Southern Institute of Technology, New Zealand; Greenwich University, UK; Ash Institute, Harvard University, among others.
